Foggy Coyote

3/3/2014

Foggy Coyote

Foggy Coyote fashions
Sandstone blood-glazed drinkware
Fired in the kiln of noon and
Cooled to catch the evening
Desert rain,
Three shots of silver tequila and
Dawn’s foaming moon.

Foggy Coyote exhales
Sacred campfire poetry
Grown in dry wet mountains and
Hollered across plains of wind,
Death remains
Painted words in the smoke and
Demon-fevered mounds.

Foggy Coyote conjures
Wine-born music of ouds and flutes
Aged in smoky caves then
Played in onion dome kingdoms,
Red domains,
The lost heavens of sad gods and
Doomed furious man.
